Welcome! I'm Spencer Stown, an artist and designer based in Bayshore, New
York. My journey into the world of art and design is rooted in a deep passion for
creativity and a unique blend of influences that have shaped my career.
The Beginning: From Graffiti to Streetwear
My fascination with art began with a love for clothing and hats. I was a dedicated
collector of classic New Era baseball fitted caps, always on the hunt for rare color
schemes. This passion for unique pieces naturally led me into the world of
streetwear. I started as a graffiti artist, writing under the name "Stown," which later
became my moniker. The vibrant music scene, particularly hip hop and rock also
played a significant role in inspiring me to create merchandise that eventually
evolved into my clothing brand.
Education and Early Career
I hold a bachelor's degree in graphic design, which provided a solid foundation for
my creative endeavors. My career kicked off with designing t-shirts and hats, and
over time, it evolved into creating luxury motorcycle jackets and other wearable art
pieces. I like to call it "Canvas to Cloth" – turning artistic visions into tangible
fashion statements.

Throughout my journey, collaborations and sponsorships have been pivotal. Some

Instead, I focus on making pieces that are true to my vision. I strive to impress
myself with every new piece, whether it's a drawing, a canvas, or a clothing item.
My abstract characters and spontaneous painting process are a testament to my
offbeat path mentality.
Creative Process and Inspirations
My creative process is dynamic and often starts with a blank canvas and a dazed
morning state, accompanied by a cup of coffee. I find inspiration in various
sources, from rap music and designers like Virgil Abloh and Yohji Yamamoto to
vintage frames worn by iconic figures like De Niro and Elton John. I believe in
creating through trial and error, and my best work often emerges from moments of
frustration and discovery.

What sets my products apart is their design language – pushing boundaries beyond
the typical logo-driven brands. For example, my magnetic arrow bar frames are not
only stylish but also a fun and interactive accessory. I aim for my customers to feel
a sense of uniqueness and confidence when they wear my designs, and I love
seeing their excitement and receiving positive feedback.

Staying ahead of trends without falling into them is a constant challenge, especially
when working with niche markets. However, my proudest achievements, like
sponsoring a racer in the Porsche Cup of France, have shown me the impact and
reach of my work.

Looking ahead, I aspire to collaborate with larger brands like Gucci or Nike,
creating collections without restrictions on creativity or materials. My personal

Outside of work, I enjoy playing racquetball and exploring different cultures. I
have a wonderful dog named Maya and a quirky wish to do stand-up comedy. My
hobbies and interests often influence my work, bringing a diverse range of
inspirations to my designs.
